Who is responsible

The controller of your data is Tuani's Resto Bar, in Portuaria, San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.

What we collect

  • Bookings: your WhatsApp number, your name, the date, time and party size, and anything you tell us (a birthday, for example).
  • Messages: whatever you send us on WhatsApp or by email, including the contact form (name, optional email, topic and message). The form opens WhatsApp with your message prefilled and you send it from there; the website stores nothing (no server or database receives it).
  • Using the site: with Google Analytics (Google LLC) we see, in aggregate, which pages and buttons are used, and with the Meta Pixel we measure our ads. Both work from the first page you open, unless you tap "No acepto" (I don't accept) (see "Measurement: cookies, Meta Pixel and Conversions API"). We also count visits anonymously with Cloudflare Web Analytics, with no cookies and no personal data. We never send these tools your name, email or booking codes; your phone number only reaches Meta as an irreversible code, when you send a request for an event. See the cookie policy.

Why we use it

  • To confirm, change and remind you of your booking.
  • To reply to your messages.
  • To send you offers and news, only if you gave us permission. You can opt out at any time.
  • To measure which ads bring us visits and requests (see "Measurement: cookies, Meta Pixel and Conversions API").

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We only share it with the services we use to look after you:

  • WhatsApp (Meta), for messages and confirmations.
  • Our booking system at reserve.tuanissjds.com.
  • Square, for payments at the venue.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts this site.
  • Meta (Facebook), through the Meta Pixel and its Conversions API, which measure our ads (see "Measurement: cookies, Meta Pixel and Conversions API"), unless you tap "No acepto" (I don't accept).
  • Google (Google LLC), through Google Analytics: the site-usage data described above, without your name, phone, email or booking codes. It sets its cookies unless you tap "No acepto" (I don't accept).
  • Google, when a Google Maps map loads (the site's maps load when they scroll into view; if you tapped "No acepto", only when you tap "Show map"). Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies (see the cookie policy).

Measurement: cookies, Meta Pixel and Conversions API

To see what works in our ads we use cookies, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel from the first page you open. When you send a table or ticket request for an event, we also tell Meta, from our server to theirs (Meta's Conversions API), that a request was made: we send your phone number as an irreversible code (SHA-256 hash, so Meta never receives it in readable form), your IP address, your browser details, Meta's _fbp and _fbc cookies if you have them, the event and the amount of the table or tickets. We never send your name or your booking code.

Ad audiences. If you gave us your WhatsApp number (for example, when claiming a prize with a QR code, entering a giveaway or requesting a reservation), we may send it to Meta in irreversibly encrypted form to show you, or stop showing you, Tuani's ads and to find people with similar interests. Meta does not receive your number in readable form and discards it after matching. You can ask to be excluded at any time by sending "NO ANUNCIOS" to our WhatsApp +505 5700 2060.

If you don't agree, tap "No acepto" (I don't accept): we turn off the Meta Pixel, the Google Analytics cookies and the Conversions API for this browser, and delete the _fbp, _fbc and _ga cookies. Your choice is kept for 6 months in this browser and in the tuanis_consent cookie, which we share with our booking site reserve.tuanissjds.com. You can turn it back on at any time with "Turn on".

Tour operator and group enquiries

When a tour operator or bus company writes to us through the form on the tour operators page, we keep what it sends: company, contact name, WhatsApp, email (optional), the type of stop, the services it is interested in, passengers per bus, buses per month, where the buses come from, the route or arrival time and anything else it tells us. We also keep the page it wrote from, the campaign link it arrived through (for example, utm_source or ref) and the browser it used.

We use it only to answer the enquiry, prepare the proposal and arrange the visit. The enquiry is stored in this site's database and reaches our team by email at info@tuanissjds.com; both go through Cloudflare, which hosts the site. We don't use it for anything else or share it with anyone else.

We keep it for 12 months from the day we receive it and then delete it, unless the operator has become a Tuani's client: in that case we keep it for as long as we work together.

To ask us to delete it sooner, or to see or correct it, write to us at info@tuanissjds.com with the company name and the WhatsApp number or email used on the form.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and message data only as long as we need it to look after you and then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Tour operator and group enquiries are kept for 12 months and then deleted, unless the operator has become a client (see above).

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or stop sending you offers, at any time. We reply within 1–2 business days.

You can ask us at any time to delete your data: from a booking, a message or a form.

  • Message us on WhatsApp or by email (below) and tell us you want your data deleted.
  • Give us your name and the number or email you contacted us from, so we can find it.
  • We delete it and let you know the same way. We reply within 1–2 working days.
